The Patna Cancer Detection Centre continues to function well in the area of Cancer detection services. The Centre conducts cancer check ups twice a week, on every Tuesday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Many patients visit the Centre for check-ups . All facilities including biopsy, F.N.A.C. are available in the operation theatre attached to the Centre. 

As a part of the awareness Programme, leaflets, booklets, stickers etc. containing useful Information about cancer is distributed at various hospitals, towns, melas, festivals etc. and through Rotary and Lions Clubs. Some of the prominent newspapers are also publishing the activities of the centre in their Hindi and English editions.

Every year, many new cancer cases are detected and the persons are guided for further investigations and treatment.

The Ministry of Railways has extended the Railway Concession Facility to cancer patients to be authorized by the Patna Cancer Detection Centre.

A system to get all pathological reports within 7 days has been developed to enable the patients to get their reports quickly.
